Incredible Pasta Food Swap
Let’s let the secret out because you are going to flip over this. It is a low carb ‘pasta’ substitute that is made completely from hearts of palm. Therefore, there is no gluten, no wheat, no GMOs, sugar free and bonus: it tastes amazing!
Dare to Compare
Let’s compare the Palmini product to pasta. Palmini is low in calories and high in fiber: 20 calories per serving, 4 grams of carbohydrate, 2 grams of fiber and 1 gram of protein. There are three servings in the container so if you eat the whole can, it is only 60 calories (plus your additional ingredients). Compare this to a ½ cup of pasta has 110 calories, 21.5 grams of carbohydrates, 1.3 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. So… if you have a large bowl plus sauce, the calories can add up fast.
There are a few substitutes for pasta like spaghetti squash and zoodles yet they clearly do not taste like pasta. This, on the other hand, will shock you. You can make any of your favorite pasta recipes by simply substituting the Palmini for the pasta.
The True Test
I even made lasagna and it was so good, no one in my family knew it wasn’t pasta. That is always a tell-tale sign of success! They wanted another serving of the lasagna. Check out this video to see.
Recipes
Check out their website and social posts to get ideas. Whatever you can make with pasta, you can make with Palmini. I sauteed shrimp in garlic and then added the Palmini with some sun-dried tomatoes and fresh spinach. Topped with fresh parmesan cheese grated, a sprinkle of red chili pepper and it was a winner!
I highly recommend you consider trying it. It is available online and in different grocery stores throughout the country. Let me know what you think.
A special thank you to my dear friend Dr. Heidi Cherwony for letting me know about this product. It really is just as good as you said!
Yours in good health~
